Privacy

No cookies.
No tracking.
No selling.

SHARESONG is built by one person who hates surveillance software. This page explains what happens to your data, in plain English (not legalese).

What we collect

Nothing personal. SHARESONG has no user accounts, no sign-ups, no email capture, no profile. You paste a link, we return the equivalent on other platforms. That's it.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool. It counts anonymous visits: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no IP storage, no cross-site tracking. We see aggregate numbers like "300 people created a link this week" but we cannot tell who you are, where you've been before, or track you across sessions.

We track six events in total: page views, link generations, platform opens, shortcode resolutions, installs, and shares. None of them carry personal identifiers.

What we don't do

No ads. No third-party trackers. No data sold to anyone, ever. No social media pixels (no Meta, no TikTok, no Google Ads tags). No behavioural profiling. No AI training on your data.

When you share a link

When you create a share link, SHARESONG generates a short code (e.g. sp_abc123) that encodes the song's platform IDs. The link lives on our infrastructure only long enough to redirect you or the recipient to the chosen platform. We don't store who shared what with whom, and we don't build a history of your shares.

If you visit a shared link, the destination platform (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer) applies its own privacy policy once you land there. That's out of our hands.
